Project Description
This is a sequential design project for Science Channel, conveying their core value, "Qestion Everything". While artificial intelligence enhances our lives, it's crucial to maintain the capacity for independent thinking and analysis to avoid being misled. Creating this sequence serves to enhance awareness of this ongoing situation. The story was told from the perspective of the protagonist, sardine with a hat. He retained his ability to think independently, analyzing suspicious elements around him. Ultimately, he exposed the deception orchestrated by the shark.
Responsibilities
This is a group project, I finalized the concept, designed the characters and the props, and created all the linework. Special thanks to my teammates, Jiayan Xu.
Concept
Benefiting from the huge database, the Internet has brought great convenience to people's life. However, if overly trust what the Internet provides, people will gradually lose the ability to think independently and make judgments. While enjoying the convenience provided by AI, people should maintain the ability to think and analyze information independently to avoid being led into the trap.
Full Sequence
Design Process
We chose sardines as our character prototype because they exhibit a characteristic of blindly following, making them a fitting metaphor in this sequence. Meanwhile, the shark serves as our cunning antagonists, setting traps and waiting for the sardines to fall into them.
Software
Adobe Photoshop
Process
I designed the characters, props and the environment in this underwater world.
I tested out different compositions for the hero frame: when the protagonist exposes the shark's deception.
